May 9th to 12th, 2023, the International GRCA Congress GRC2023 was grandly held in London, United Kingdom. Mr. Song Dunqing, Chairman of Qinglong and representative of the Chinese GRC construction industry, delivered a brilliant presentation titled "The Application of Hyperbolic Paraboloid Panels in the Dongguan Maternal and Child Center Project" at the Architectural Focus Forum, attracting high attention and praise from international peers attending the conference.
During the presentation, Chairman Mr Song elaborated on the innovative application of hyperbolic paraboloid panels by Qinglong in the Dongguan Maternal and Child Center project. The project garnered attention for its unique design concept of "Guancao," a traditional craft of Dongguan, and its avant-garde architectural style. The extensive use of hyperbolic paraboloid panels added unique artistic charm and visual effects to the project.
Chairman Mr Song also shared Qinglong's experience and achievements in the design, production, and construction of hyperbolic paraboloid panels. He emphasized the breakthrough application of this technology in the Dongguan Maternal and Child Center project, including key issues related to engineering challenges, design optimization, and construction techniques.

The Dongguan Women and Children's Activity Center (new campus) hyperbolic paraboloid panel project is another distinctive GRC project undertaken by Qinglong following the representative projects of Juran Home Guangzhou Home Life MALL, Dali University Library, Panzhihua Third-line Construction, Nanning Huarun Wuxianghui, and Guangxi New Media Center. It is a classic representative work of Qinglong's GRC special-shaped components projects.
The project drew inspiration from the intangible cultural heritage of Dongguan, the "Guancao" craft. Through abstraction and the use of the high plasticity of GRC materials, a woven skin with a sense of rhythm was generated to create a new "outer garment" for the theater. Combined with gradually changing windows, it reflects the vitality and energy of children. The tower and podium buildings depict the softness and gentleness of women through the outline of curves.
